WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 980440, passed November 2, 1998, retroactive to November 1, 1998 for unclassified personnel activated additional vacation accrual of 240 hours or 30 days for unclassified employees with service of 20 years or more; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Wigal, moved from the Classified position of Police Secretary/Records Clerk to the Unclassified position of Secretary to the Director of Public Safety, effectively December 1, 1997, and is eligible for the additional vacation accrual of 80 hours; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Wigal, had been taking time off to keep her carryover hours under 240 for several months, and was then given the 80 hours:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That it is recognized by this Council that Sharon Wigal has exhibited responsibility in fulfilling all duties that are associated with the position of Secretary to the Director of Public Safety, and is entitled to reimbursement.

Section 2. That the amount of One Thousand Four Hundred Forty Seven Dollars ($1,447) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the General Fund to Account No. 101.212.5106, Salary Secretary, to cover the herein costs.

Section 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized and directed to pay Sharon Wigal the amount of One Thousand Four Hundred Forty Seven Dollars ($1,447) from Account No. 101.212.5106, Salary Secretary, as reimbursement for her 77.805 hours of vacation accrual that cannot be carried over.

Section 4. That Ordinance No. 200001, passed January 3, 2000, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
