TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE STONEHENGE COMPANY; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $110,000 THEREFOR; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.  (Triangle West Sanitary Sewer)

WHEREAS, a Reimbursement Agreement is being entered into between the City of Gahanna and The Stonehenge Company for the purpose of development the middle portion of Triangle West Sanitary Sewer District; and

 

WHEREAS, the City would be required to purchase easements on the off-site portion and for the over sizing difference; and

 

WHEREAS, when this is completed, the entire triangle will have available sewer; and it is desirable to move forward during a favorable construction season, all for the orderly growth and development of this area and for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Reimbursement Agreement with The Stonehenge Company for the purpose of building a sanitary sewer, said Agreement attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.

 

Section 2. That the amount of ONE HUNDRED TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($110,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the Sewer Fund to Account No. 662.361.5593, Capital Projects, Sewer, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That Ordinance No. 990001, passed January 2, 1999, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 4.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation, and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
