Title

TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH BURDICK EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC., FOR A LEAF VAC; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $12,500 THEREFOR; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

Body

WHEREAS,  a new leaf vac is needed for the fall leaf removal program and quotes were obtained in a timely fashion; and

WHEREAS, proposal has been received from Burdick Equipment Co., Inc. for this purchase and has been recommended by the Director of Public Service;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with Burdick Equipment Company, Inc., for a leaf vac in accordance with proposal, attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.

Section 2.  That TWELVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($12,500) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance in the Streets Fund to Account No. 220.330.5512, Streets Capital Projects/Equipment, to cover the herein costs.

Section 3.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
