TO AMEND CHAPTER 1171, FENCES, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, TO AMEND SECTIONS ON SWIMMING POOL FENCES AND INVISIBLE FENCES; AND TO UPDATE REFERENCES TO ZONING OFFICER TO ZONING ADMINISTRATOR.

WHEREAS, a review of the Code section with regard to swimming pool fences was undertaken at the request of Council; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission also wished to make minor revisions to update the code to conform with other sections and to remove references to invisible fences; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission reviewed, initiated changes, and recommended said changes to City Council; and
WHEREAS, Council held Public Hearing on November 18, 1999, said meeting held pursuant to notice and according to law; and
WHEREAS, Council initiated a minor change after concerns were raised at their public hearing with regard to the swimming pool fences;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Chapter 1171, Fences, is hereby amended as set forth in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That existing Chapter 1171, Fences, or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
