TO AMEND CONTRACT WITH URBAN SPACES; TO ALLOW CONTINUING SERVICES UNDER CONTRACT AUTHORIZED BY ORD-0099-2000; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $140,000 THEREFOR; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, proposal has been received, and has been recommended by the Administration; and
WHEREAS, funding for this has yet to be set aside in the current Appropriations; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire and goal of this Council and Administration to continue the development of the Downtown Creekside Zoning Area to the fullest potential, all for the sound fiscal management of the area and for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into amended Agreement with AL GROVES of URBAN SPACES, 501 Soledad, San Antonio, Texas 78205, for continuing services said amendment attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of One Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($140,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance in the General Fund to Account No. 101.343.5253, Development, Planning, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
