TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH EVANS, MECHWART, HAMBLETON & TILTON, FOR UPDATE OF THE CITY'S WATER AND SEWER ATLASES; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Administration to update the Water and Sewer Atlases in order to have them in a DWF Format and to be available on the web; and
WHEREAS, letter proposal for design engineering services, dated October 10, 2000, has been received and has been recommended by the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to move forward with this project in a timely fashion in order to have this information available on the web; all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with Evans, Mechwart, Hambleton & Tilton, Inc., 170 Mill Street, Gahanna, Ohio, 43230, for update of the water and sewer atlases, said services to be in accordance with proposal letter, dated October 10, 2000, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and all in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY SEVEN DOLLARS ($10, 687) was appropriated in the Year 2000 Appropriations to Account No. 661.360.5445, Sewer Engineering, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of TEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY EIGHT DOLLARS ($10, 688) was appropriated in the Year 2000 Appropriations to Account No. 651.350.5445, Water Engineering, to cover the herein costs.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on the date of signature approval by the Mayor.
