TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH EVANS, MECHWART, HAMBLETON & TILTON INC. FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE US ROUTE 62 OVER BIG WALNUT SIDEWALK WIDENING; AND TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $9,000

WHEREAS, proposal has been received for engineering study for the widening of sidewalks on the US Route 62 bridge over Big Walnut Creek, and has been recommended by the City Engineer;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into agreement with EVANS, MECHWART, HAMBLETON & TILTON INC., 170 Mill Street, Gahanna Ohio 43230, for engineering services for the study and widening of sidewalks on the US 62 bridge over Big Walnut Creek, in accordance with letter proposal dated July 23, 1998, attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A, and in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the General Fund to Account No. 101.145.5533 Capital Projects, Engineering, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That Ordinance No. 980001, passed January 2, 1998, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
