WHEREAS, ORD-0265-2000 authorized the Mayor to enter into Agreement with Myers Schmalenberger for landscape architectural services for the West Gahanna Gateway Landscape Project; and

 

WHEREAS, there have been extensive revisions to the scope of the project  to reduce the project size and new drawings are required; and

 

WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this because of the impending construction season, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare:

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Amended Agreement with Myers Schmalenberger for Landscape Architectural Services for the West Gahanna Gateway Landscape Project, Phase II, Improvement No. 758, to reduce the size of the project.

 

Section 2.  That funding in the amount of FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($15,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the General Fund to Account No. 101.343.5511, Capital Projects, Development, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That ORD-1-2001, passed January 2, 2001, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 4.  That for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance shall be deemed emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and upon signature approval by the Mayor.
