WHEREAS, the Service Department is in need of a backhoe for various projects that need to be completed over the summer;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into purchase agreement with OHIO CAT, EQUIPMENT DIVISION, 5252 Walcutt Court, Columbus, Ohio 43228, for a Caterpillar backhoe, model 420 E IT off the State Contract #778515H, Index #STS515.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TWENTY NINE THOUSAND EIGHTY SEVEN DOLLARS ($29,087) was set aside in the 2008 Appropriations to Account No. 651.350.5512, Water, Capital Equipment, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of TWENTY NINE THOUSAND EIGHTY SEVEN DOLLARS ($29,087) was set aside in the 2008 Appropriations to Account No. 661.350.5512, Sewer, Capital Equipment, to cover the herein costs.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
