TO AMEND ORD-0005-2014, PART-TIME PERSONNEL, TO ADD THE POSITION CLASSIFICATION OF OFFICE WORKER III IN A GRADE 36; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, ORD-0005-2014, passed January 2, 2014, established salaries for the part-time personnel of the City of Gahanna; and
 
WHEREAS, with the resignation of a full time Accounting Technician the Finance Director has reviewed the duties and responsibilities of the position and has revised the job description creating a new part time Account Clerk position; and
 
WHEREAS, this new position requires the addition of a position classification under the part-time salary ordinance; and
 
WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources is requesting the addition of an Office Worker III classification in the Part-time Personnel Ordinance in a pay grade 36; and
 
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward to make the necessary changes for the smooth and efficient running of the Finance Department, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That ORD-0005-2014, passed January 2, 2014, is hereby amended as shown in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part hereof.
 
Section 2.  That ORD-2005-2014 and any Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
 
Section 3.    That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, this Ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
