WHEREAS, as a founding family member, JANE GROTE ABELL joined Donatos Pizza Inc. in 1978, and currently holds the title of Chairwoman of the Board; and
 
WHEREAS, JANE GROTE ABELL played an integral role in steering Donatos business strategy, most notably being a major catalyst behind the decision to buy back the Company from McDonald's; and
 
WHEREAS, JANE GROTE ABELL was named CEO of the Year by Columbus CEO magazine in November 2014; and
WHEREAS, JANE GROTE ABELL was named to the 2014 YWCA Columbus Academy of Women of Achievement, one of only 237 women so honored since 1986; and
 
WHEREAS, she is a founding member of the Ross Leadership Institute, serves on the Board of Action for Children, Goodwill Columbus, Inc., and Experience Columbus; and she is also a member of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women; and
WHEREAS, a native of Columbus, JANE is a graduate of the Ohio State University; and she has two daughters and a son and resides in Columbus, Ohio.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, AND STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1. That JANE GROTE ABELL is hereby honored and commended for the great contribution she has made to the Gahanna community.
 
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
