TO HONOR AND COMMEND JAMES M. ABRAHAM ON HIS INDUCTION INTO THE OHIO VETERANS HALL OF FAME

WHEREAS, the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame was established in 1992 by Governor George V. Voinovich to increase awareness of the lifetime contributions of veterans after the completion of honorable military service; and

 

WHEREAS, JAMES M. ABRAHAM is a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II and the Ohio Army National Guard, served as Ohio Assistant Adjutant General for the Army, past commander of the Department of Ohio Military Order of World Wars, and persuaded the Army to re-establish the ROTC program at Ohio University; and

 

WHEREAS, JAMES M. ABRAHAM has served this community as a member of the Gahanna Planning Commission, as Gahanna's Director of Public Service, and as a Mifflin Township Trustee;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That this Council and Administration, on behalf of the citizens of Gahanna, honor and commend JAMES M. ABRAHAM on his induction into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame.

 

Section 2.  That this Council and Administration applaud JAMES M. ABRAHAM on his exemplary record of military service and salute him as one of Ohio's finest citizens.

 

Section 3.  That this resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
