TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH COLUMBUS POOL MANAGEMENT FOR POOL OPERATIONS AT HUNTERS RIDGE POOL AND GAHANNA SWIMMING POOL.

WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna appropriated funds for the Hunters Ridge Pool (HRP) and Gahanna Swimming Pool (GSP) for the 2015 season; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks & Recreation recommended we proceed with Columbus Pool Management to contract for the pool operations; and
WHEREAS, the benefits of contracting pool operations is appropriate due to the City's current financial situation and the Department's ongoing challenge of reduced staffing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement with COLUMBUS POOL MANAGEMENT, 8185 Green Meadows Drive North, Suite T, Lewis Center, OH 43035, for pool operations at Hunters Ridge Pool and Gahanna Swimming Pool; Agreement is attached as Exhibit A and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($60,000) was set aside in 2015 to Account No. 101.438.5249, Hunters Ridge Pool (HRP) contract services, to cover a portion of the herein costs.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of ONE HUNDRED NINETY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($195,000) was set aside in 2015 to Account No. 101.440.5248, Gahanna Swimming Pool (GSP) contract services, to cover the remainder of the herein costs.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
