TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH INSIGHT PIPE CONTRACTING, LLC FOR THE 2017 CCTV & SANITARY SEWER CLEANING PROJECT.

WHEREAS, bids were opened on February 24, 2017 pursuant to Council authorization, and the best, responsible, and responsive bidder has been recommended by the City Engineer for the CCTV and Sanitary Sewer Cleaning Project; and
WHEREAS, a total of four bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended we proceed with the lowest, most responsive and responsible bidder which was below the Engineer’s estimate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into contract with Insight Pipe Contracting, LLC, 232 East Lancaster Road, Harmony, Pennsylvania 16037, for the CCTV & Sanitary Sewer Cleaning Project; said Contract attached as EXHIBIT A and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of ONE HUNDRED SIXTY TWO THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($162,800) was set aside in prior year appropriations and 2017 appropriations to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
