WHEREAS, in the contract the City has with Rumpke for refuse pickup and disposal, they can increase fuel surcharges based on diesel fuel prices; and
WHEREAS, Rumpke did increase the fuel surcharge in 2012, and the City could not foresee this increased charge so a supplemental is needed to cover the balance needed to pay Rumpke;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OHIO;
Section 1. That funding in the amount of FOURTEEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($14,200) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Refuse Escrow Fund to Account No. 850.345.5420, Refuse Program Escrow.
Section 2. That ORD-0001-2012, passed January 2, 2012, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
