TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO RENEWABLE ANNUAL MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH R.E.M. COMMUNICATIONS, INC., FOR THE SERVICE AND REPAIR OF MOBILE AND PORTABLE RADIOS AND VEHICLE EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT.

WHEREAS, REM Communications is the current maintenance provider for our mobile and portable radios and vehicle emergency equipment, and have done an excellent job; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Chief of Police that we contract for continued maintenance with REM;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a renewable annual maintenance agreement with R.E.M. Communications, Inc., 2625 Johnstown Road, Columbus, Ohio 43219, for service and repair of mobile and portable radios and vehicle emergency equipment.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($7,000) was appropriated in the 2003 Appropriations, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
