TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH NATIONAL JOINT POWERS ALLIANCE REGIONAL PARTNERSHIP (NJPA) A PUBLIC AGENCY THAT SERVES AS A MUNICIPAL CONTRACTING AGENCY.

WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna wishes to have membership in NJPA to be able to take advantage of their national purchasing, competitively bid contracts; and
WHEREAS, there is no cost, liability or obligation to the member and the Director of Public Service has recommended we proceed to enter into Membership Agreement with them;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Membership Agreement with National Joint Powers Alliance, 202 12th Street, NE, Staples, MN 56479, a municipal contracting agency; said Membership Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
