TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH HAMBURG FIREWORKS DISPLAY INC. FOR FIREWORKS FOR THE FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION 2001

WHEREAS, now is the appropriate time to secure fireworks for our 2001 Fourth of July celebration; and
WHEREAS, proposal has been received from Hamburg Fireworks Display Inc., the company that was been used for the last two years and presented superior shows, and the Director of Parks & Recreation has recommended this company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with Hamburg Fireworks Display Inc., for fireworks for the 2001 Fourth of July Celebration in accordance with proposal, attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of $8,000 was set aside in the 2001 Appropriations to Account No. 101.432.5415, Fourth of July, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
