TO ACCEPT AN ANONYMOUS DONATION FROM A GAHANNA POLICE OFFICER FOR THE PURCHASE OF A PROTECTIVE VEST FOR THE K-9 UNIT; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE SAID DONATION TO UNIFORM ALLOWANCE ACCOUNT.

WHEREAS, a generous donation has been received anonymously from a Gahanna Police Officer for the specific purpose of purchasing a protective vest for the K-9 unit; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council and the Gahanna Police Department to protect this valuable asset to the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration, on behalf of the citizens of Gahanna do hereby accept the very generous donation of ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000), for the sole purpose of purchasing a protective vest for the K-9 unit.
Section 2. That the amount of ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the General Fund to Account No. 101.211.5137, Uniform Allowance, for the purpose of purchasing a protective vest for the Gahanna K-9 unit.
Section 3. That Ordinance ORD-0001-2001, passed January 2, 2001, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
