TO AMEND SECTION 563.19, PETS, OF CHAPTER 563, PARK CONDUCT, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY GAHANNA; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, to better designate what areas dogs and cats are allowed in at the various parks of Gahanna a code amendment is being proposed; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parks & Recreation Director to effect this change as rapidly as possible, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1.  That Section 563.19, Pets, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna, is hereby amended in accordance with EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.

Section 2.  That existing Section 563.19, Pets, or any ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.

Section 3.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation, and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
