TITLE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORD-080-2020 CONTRACT WITH EMH&T FOR ENGINEERING AND DESIGN OF IMPROVEMENTS TO THE INTERSECTION OF TAYLOR STATION AND CLAYCRAFT ROADS TO INCLUDE COSTS FOR CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION AND INSPECTION
BODY
WHEREAS, On October 19, 2020, City Council adopted ORD-080-2020 authorizing the Mayor to enter into contract with EMH&T for engineering and design of improvements to the intersection of Taylor Station and Claycraft roads; and
WHEREAS, the contract that was executed pursuant to ORD-080-2020 only included base design services did not include costs for construction administration and inspection; and
WHEREAS, funds already appropriated totaling $298,700 cover EMH&T’s proposed costs for the purposes of construction administration and inspection associated with the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That ORD-080-2020 is hereby amended to accept the proposal by Evans, Mechwart, Hambleton, & Tilton, Inc. (EMH&T), primary offices located at 5500 New Albany Road, Columbus OH 43054, for construction administration and inspection services more particularly described in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding for this project in the amount of two hundred ninety-eight thousand seven hundred dollars ($298,700) has already been appropriated as follows:
from 652.11.000.5500 (2024 Appropriations) WA Capital Account: $43,520.59
from 631.11.000.5500 (2024 Appropriations) SW Capital Account: $32,588.17
from 224.11.020.5505 (Prior Year Funds) Eastgate TIF: $222,591.24
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
