TO HONOR AND COMMEND DONALD R. SHEPHERD FOR SERVICE AS WARD 2 COUNCIL MEMBER
Body
WHEREAS, DONALD R. SHEPHERD, has lived in the City of Gahanna most of his life, and wanted to serve the people of Ward 2 as Council Member; and
WHEREAS, when a vacancy occurred in the position of Ward 2 Council Member, DONALD R. SHEPHERD, responded to City Council that he would like to serve and was appointed as Ward 2 Council Member on September 5, 2000; and
WHEREAS, during his time on Council, DONALD R. SHEPHERD, has served on the Safety and Service Committees of Council, as well as Committee of the Whole, and has chaired the Safety Committee and is currently serving as Vice President of Council and chairing the Committee of the Whole; and
WHEREAS, DONALD R. SHEPHERD, served as Trustee of the Community Improvement Corporation before his appointment to City Council; and
WHEREAS, DONALD R. SHEPHERD, has a great love for his home town and will continue to serve the City in any way he can; and
WHEREAS, DONALD R. SHEPHERD, will be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure to work with him:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration do hereby honor and commend DONALD R. SHEPHERD for his service to the City of Gahanna and wish him well in all of his future endeavors, knowing that he will continue to support the City in any way he can.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council.
