TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH W.E. STILSON CONSULTING, FOR INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE 2008 ASPHALT OVERLAY PROGRAM AND REBUILD OF DUNBARTON ROAD, IMPROVEMENT NO. 928; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, with the approval of the 2008 Asphalt Overlay Program, inspection services will be needed; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that we proceed with W.E. Stilson Consulting; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with the inspection services so that the asphalt overlay program can be finished as soon as possible, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with W.E. STILSON CONSULTING GROUP, 355 E. Campus View Blvd., Suite 250, Columbus, Ohio 43235, for inspection services for the 2008 Asphalt Overlay program and Rebuild of Dunbarton Road, in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FIFTEEN THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FIFTEEN DOLLARS ($15,915) was set aside in the 2008 Appropriations to Account No. 325.122.5596, Capital Projects/Improvements, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of FORTY ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY FIVE DOLLARS ($41,585) was set aside in the 2008 Appropriations to Account No. 101.145.5513, Engineering, Capital/Streets, to further cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
