WHEREAS, a reimbursement grant from the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) has been awarded to the City; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parks and Recreation Department to supplementally appropriate these funds to Parks Minor Capital Account in order to purchase the recycled content recycling and litter collection containment and lids; and
WHEREAS, the project supports Parks and Recreation goals to purchase and promote the use of recycled content products to the public and supports Gahanna's commitment to the Central Ohio Green Pact; and
WHEREAS, this containment will be placed at Friendship park and the Hunters Ridge Pool and Playground;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration, on behalf of the citizens of Gahanna do hereby accept a reimbursement grant from the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio for the purpose of purchasing recycled content recycling and litter collection containment and lids.
Section 2: That funding in the amount of TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS ($2,455) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the General Fund to Account No. 101.431.5510, Parks, Minor Capital.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2008, passed January 2, 2008 is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
