TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH M P DORY COMPANY FOR US 62 GUARDRAIL REPAIR/REPLACEMENT

WHEREAS, bids were opened on June 20, 2003, pursuant to Council authorization, and the best, responsible, and responsive bidder has been recommended by the Director of Public Service; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to proceed with this purchase at the earliest possible date;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is authorized to award, and the Mayor is authorized to enter into contract for US62 Guardrail Repair/Replacement, with M P DORY COMPANY, 2001 Integrity Drive South, Columbus, Ohio 43209, in accordance with bid and City specifications, said bid tabulation attached hereto as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding was set aside in the 2003 Appropriations to Account No. 222.331.5541, State Highway Capital, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature of approval by the Mayor.
