TITLE
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS - Reduction in Capital Improvement Fund and Increase in State Capital Grant Fund
BODY
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation plans to expand educational opportunities for the community by repurposing City property located at 94 Price Road into a recreation program center; and
WHEREAS, in 2022, the City applied for and received funding through State Capital Grants to assist with the renovation project in the amount of $100,000, of which $2,000 is retained by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for grant administration; and
WHEREAS, the grant is required to be accounted for in a separate fund already established for this purpose, the State Capital Grant Fund (3220); and
WHEREAS, funds that were originally appropriated in the Capital Improvement Fund (3250) pending the grant approval must be now be reduced and supplementally appropriated within the State Capital Grant Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of ninety-eight thousand dollars ($98,000) is hereby reduced in the Capital Improvement Fund (3250) as follows:
325.06.550.5505 - Capital Improvements: -$98,000
Section 2. That funding in the amount of ninety-eight thousand dollars ($98,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated unencumbered balance in the State Capital Grant Fund (3220) as follows:
322.08.000.5505 - State Capital Grant Capital Improvements: $98,000
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
