TO AMEND THE CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS AS DATED APRIL 10, 2012.

WHEREAS, in November of 2011 voters approved charter change issues that made the Civil Service Commission an appellate board only; and
WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission has approved new Rules of Procedure, and Council has approved new code reflecting the charter changes; and
WHEREAS, since these changes were made the Civil Service Rules and Regulations need to be amended to reflect the procedure set forth in the charter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the City of Gahanna Civil Service Rules and Regulations are hereby amended as set forth in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
