TO AMEND PART THIRTEEN, BUILDING CODE OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA.

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Service & Engineering has recommended amendments to Part Thirteen - Building Code, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna; and
WHEREAS, the amendments are to accommodate the move of the Building and Zoning from the Development Department to the Service Department; and
WHEREAS, the revisions also address code consistency and update various parts of the code to better reflect the new daily operations and management changes in the Department of Public Service & Engineering; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney and the administration have reviewed this part of the code and it is now time to enact the necessary changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Part Thirteen, Building Code, is hereby amended as set forth in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That existing Part Thirteen, Building Code, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna, or any Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
