WHEREAS, the Parks & Recreation Department is planning an extraordinary day of programming for the July 4th Freedom Festival; and
WHEREAS, to top it off the department would like to have the band Phil Dirt & the Dozers; and
WHEREAS, to assure the services of Phil Dirt & the Dozers for our festival it is imperative to enter into contract with Class Acts Columbus, Inc., as soon as possible all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Class Acts Columbus, Inc., 440 W. Nationwide Blvd., Suite 250, Columbus, Ohio 43215, to obtain the services of Phil Dirt & the Dozers for the Gahanna 4th of July Freedom Festival; contract attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS ($6,000) was appropriated to Account No. 101.432.5421, Recreation, Program Services, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation, and shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor,
