TITLE
A RESOLUTION SETTING FEES FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE & ENGINEERING AS PER CHAPTER 949 OF GAHANNA CODIFIED ORDINANCES.

WHEREAS, The Department of Public Service & Engineering has received a pricing strategy for electric vehicle charging stations from Greenlots, provider of the software used to manage the EV charging stations; and,
WHEREAS, Recommendations for the Level 2 charging stations are a $.50 (fifty cents) initiation fee per charge, followed by $1.00 (one dollar) per hour which covers $.76/hour kWh plus 5% in fees; and
WHEREAS, Recommendations for the DC Fast Chargers (DCFC) are $1.00 (one dollar) initiation fee per charge, followed by $4.00 (four dollars) per hour which covers $3.00/hour kWh plus 5% in fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That pursuant to Chapter 949.01 (c) of the Gahanna Codified Ordinances, the EV charging station fees are hereby adopted as recommended by the Director of Public Service & Engineering.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
