TO SUPPORT THE CITY OF COLUMBUS APPLICATION TO REDUCE THE SPEED LIMIT ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF MORSE ROAD BETWEEN HAMILTON ROAD AND US 62; AND TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS WITH THE CITY OF COLUMBUS.

WHEREAS, the speed limit on the north/Columbus side of Morse Road between Hamilton Rd. and US 62 is 45 mph, and on the south/Gahanna side is 50 mph; and
WHEREAS, Council and the Administration are in agreement that the speed limit in this section of Morse Road should be consistent and reduced to 45 mph;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the City of Gahanna hereby supports the application of the City of Columbus to reduce the speed limit on the south/Gahanna side of Morse Road between Hamilton Road and US 62 to 45 mph, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the necessary documents to join with the City of Columbus to accomplish this.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
