TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH FULLER, MOSSBARGER, SCOTT, AND MAY (FMSM) ENGINEERS TO COMMENCE WORK ON A CONSULTING PROJECT TO COMPILE THE CITY'S STREET LIGHTING INFRASTRUCTURE INTO A SINGLE SEAMLESS GIS DATABASE: AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, Fuller, Mossbarger, Scott, and May (FMSM) has submitted a proposal to commence work on a consulting project to compile the City's Street Lighting Infrastructure into a single, seamless, GIS database, and the GIS Manager has recommended that we proceed with the said proposal; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this project at the earliest date possible to take immediate advantage of the information we will have; all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Fuller, Mossbarger, Scott, and May (FMSM) Engineers, 6600 Busch Boulevard, Suite 100, Columbus, Ohio 43229, to commence work on a consulting project to compile the City's Street Lighting Infrastructure into a single, seamless, GIS database, proposal attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part hereof.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FIFTY THOUSAND FIFTY DOLLARS ($50,050.00) has been set aside to Account No. 101.355.5511 (GIS Capital Projects), to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
