SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - INSURANCE CLAIM AND RESTITUTION PROCEEDS.
BODY
WHEREAS, when damage occurs to City property, the repairs are paid out of our current appropriations; and
WHEREAS, our appropriations are tight and do not necessarily have enough money to cover damage from unforeseen accidents; and
WHEREAS, when insurance payments are received, we ultimately want those funds to end up in the expense accounts that paid for the repairs; and
WHEREAS, to move the funds to the appropriate account requires a supplemental appropriation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of EIGHT-HUNDRED AND NINETY-EIGHT DOLLARS ($898) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the 101.431.4634, General Insurance Fund, to 101.431.5306, Maintenance Supplies Fund.
Section 2. That ORD-0102-2017, passed December 18, 2017, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
