WHEREAS, the City Engineer has presented a deed to the Council Office from Donald Leathery for acceptance and filing; and
 
WHEREAS, said 0.267 acres is being given to the City as a remnant of naturalized forest without maintenance requirements; and
 
WHEREAS, the parcel provides a natural buffer between the roadway and the residential area adjacent to US 62; and
 
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined the value of this land known as Parcel 025-001811 to be $3,200; and
 
WHEREAS, the deed was recorded by the Franklin County Recorders Office on April 26, 2010; and
 
WHEREAS, it is desired and necessary to accept this deed;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:   
 
Section 1.  That this Council hereby accepts this Quitclaim deed for 0.267   acre parcel of landlocked land which is a remnant of naturalized forest adjacent to US 62 from Donald Leathery; Parcel No. 025-001811.
 
Section 2.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
