TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CHANGE ORDER AMENDMENT WITH DHB NETWORKS, LTD., TO EXTEND THE FIBER OPTIC CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

WHEREAS, the City feels it would be beneficial at this time to extend the fiber along Hamilton Road from the intersection of Carpenter Road and Hamilton Road to the intersection of Hamilton and State Route 62; and
WHEREAS, the City has contracted with DHB Networks through ORD-0096-2008 to install a wireless system in the City and it would be prudent to amend the existing contract to include this additional work;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Change Order Agreement with DHB NETWORKS, LTD., 4338 Bright Road, Dublin, Ohio 43016, to install fiber along Hamilton Road from the intersection of Carpenter Road and Hamilton to the intersection of Hamilton and State Route 62; said change order attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That THIRTY TWO THOUSAND FORTY FOUR DOLLARS ($32,044) is available for use through savings on other projects.
Section 3. That ONE HUNDRED SIXTY FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS ($164,000) is hereby reallocated to be used for this fiber purchase and is available in Account No. 101.140.5596, Public Service, Capital Projects/Improvements to pay for this change order.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
