WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna has been involved in a regional partnership initiative with many Central Ohio communities since 2011 and one of the subcommittees formed from this partnership has been investigating shared fleet maintenance services; and
WHEREAS, this agreement would facilitate cities that would like to contract out their fleet maintenance as well as those interested in taking this work on; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has recommended that we enter into said Agreement with the member cities of Columbus, Dublin, Grandview Heights, Hilliard, Upper Arlington, Worthington, New Albany and Westerville;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement for shared fleet maintenance services with Regional Partnership cities of Columbus, Dublin, Grandview Heights, Hilliard, Upper Arlington, Worthington, New Albany and Westerville, said agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
