TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH FRANKLIN CONSULTANTS INC., FOR DESIGN SERVICES FOR TEMPORARY PUMP STATION & FORCE MAIN, EASTGATE INDUSTRIAL SEWER, IMPROVEMENT NO. 761; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $22,500; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the City Engineer has obtained proposal for a temporary pump station and force main for the Eastgate Industrial Sewer, and has recommended that we proceed with Franklin Consultants Inc; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to proceed with this legislation to begin work so the sewer can be built and building permits can be issued for two projects, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with FRANKLIN CONSULTANTS INC., 2700 East Dublin-Granville Road, Suite 500, Columbus Ohio, 43231, for Design Services for temporary pump station & force main, Eastgage Industrial Sewer, Improvement No. 761, in accordance with City Specifications.
Section 2. That the amount of TWENTY TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED ($22,500) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.349.5821, Capital Projects Development, Eastgate TIF, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2000, passed January 3, 2000, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by the Council and signature approval by the Mayor.
