SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Double Z Construction, Low Water Crossing

WHEREAS, additional funds are needed to cover cost overruns that are covered in the contract for Double Z Construction approved by ORD-0119-2002; and
WHEREAS, funds appropriated in 2001 for inspection services are not needed and the City Engineer has recommended that funding in the amount of $4,200 from Purchase Order 44386 pulled in 2001 be returned to the General Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that the $4,200 be used to extend the contract with Double Z Construction to continue work on the Low Water Crossing as approved in ORD-0119-2002; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative that this work be finished by the end of the year, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of FORTY TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($4,200) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.145.5541, Capital Projects Streets, Low Water Crossing.
Section 2. That ORD-0001-2002, passed January 2, 2002, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
