TO AMEND THE CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS AS DATED JANUARY 8, 2014; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources had concerns with several items in the Civil Service Rules & Regulations and also some housekeeping items needed to be changed and the Civil Service Commission reviewed the proposed changes and voted to recommend them to Council for passage; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to have these changes in place as soon as possible, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the City of Gahanna Civil Service Rules and Regulations are hereby amended as set forth in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
