TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH VALLEY FORD TRUCK, INC., FOR THE PURCHASE OF A FORD F250 TRUCK FROM THE STATE CONTRACT.

WHEREAS, the City is in need of a truck for our Street Foreman, as the one he is currently driving is almost worn out according to the new vehicle rating system; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Service to proceed to purchase an F250 Truck off the State Contract RS900814, Item 23AT from Valley Ford Truck, Inc;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into purchase agreement with VALLEY FORD TRUCK, INC., 5715 Canal Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44125, for the purchase of a Ford F250 Truck from the State Contract #RS900814, Item 23AT; quote attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TWENTY SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY FIVE DOLLARS ($27,535) is available in Account No. 101.512.5515, General Fund Equipment Replacement Program, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
