TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH ICE MILLER WHITEBOARD, LLC FOR AN UPDATE TO THE CITY'S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $30,000 THEREFORE; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.
BODY
WHEREAS, in response to a Request for Proposals issued by the Department of Planning and Development, a total of five proposals were received; and
WHEREAS, the Department, with representatives from the Gahanna Community Improvement Corporation, Gahanna City Council and the Mayor's Office, reviewed each proposal and interviewed the top two candidates; and
WHEREAS, the Department has identified the team of Ice Miller Whiteboard/OHM Advisors/Danter Group as the firm that can provide all of the elements that were requested in the RFP at the most competitive price point;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with ICE MILLER WHITEBOARD, LLC, 250 West Street, Suite 700, Columbus, Ohio 43215, for an update to the City's Economic Development Plan; proposal attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SIXTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($65,000) was set aside in the 2014 Appropriations to Account No. 101.343.5253, Development, Planning, to cover a portion of the herein costs.
Section 3. That THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($30,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.343.5253, Development, Planning, to cover the balance of the herein costs.
Section 4. That ORD-0001-2014, passed January 2, 2014, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 5. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this Ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
