WHEREAS, Safety Town was established over 20 years ago to teach children going into kindergarten about safety issues that a child going to school will encounter; and
WHEREAS, Safety Town 2003 was a great success with 273 children participating; and
WHEREAS, without the many volunteers it would not be possible to run Safety Town and cover the areas so important to these children; and
WHEREAS, the following people worked to make 2003 Safety Town such a success:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration, along with the citizens of Gahanna, do hereby honor and commend the volunteers and teachers of 2003 Safety Town for their hard work and dedication that made it a great week for all who participated.
Section 2. That this resolution will be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council.
