TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CHANGE ORDER AGREEMENT WITH PINNACLE METAL PRODUCTS FOR FIBER OPTIC ILLUMINATION OF THE ARCH ENTRANCE WAY OVER BIG WALNUT CREEK IN OLDE GAHANNA; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $10,458 THEREFOR; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, Pinnacle Metal Products was awarded the contract for the West Gahanna Entry Feature, Improvement No.733, and an oversight has been discovered in the lighting feature of the arch; and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended to Council by the Administration , and this Council agrees that this feature of the arch is an important amenity to the entrance way to Olde Gahanna and Creekside; and
WHEREAS, with the project underway and yet unfinished, it is desirable and necessary to complete this beneficial project as soon and as efficiently as possible for the potential development of Creekside, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Change Order Agreement with PINNACLE METAL PRODUCTS, 1701 Woodland Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, for the fiber optic portion of the entrance way features of Creekside and Olde Gahanna, Improvement No. 733, with originating Ordinance 990289 herein referenced as EXHIBIT A, with all work under this Change Order Agreement to continue to be in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That the amount of TEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY-EIGHT DOLLARS ($10,458) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the General Fund to ACCOUNT NO. 101.343.5511, CAPITAL PROJECTS, DEVELOPMENT, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That Ordinance No. 200001, passed January 3, 2000, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and upon date of signature approval by the Mayor.
