TITLE
A RESOLUTION RATIFYING CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 1 WITH ACCENTURE DBA ANSER ADVISORY MANAGEMENT LLC FOR THE PRICE ROAD EXPLORATION CENTER PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 2
BODY
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna owns the property located at 94 Price Road, also known as the Gahanna Exploration Center, and is renovating the facility to provide indoor recreation programming, meeting space, and educational and recreational opportunities for the community; and
WHEREAS, following a Request for Proposals process conducted in 2024, Anser Advisory was selected to provide Construction Inspection and Construction Administration services for the project, and the City entered into a professional services agreement in the amount of One Hundred Sixty-Eight Thousand Ten Dollars ($168,010.00); and
WHEREAS, the Mayor subsequently authorized and executed Contract Amendment No. 1 in the amount of Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) for additional Construction Inspection and Construction Administration services necessitated by an extension of the project schedule, bringing the total contract amount to One Hundred Ninety-Three Thousand Ten Dollars ($193,010.00); and
WHEREAS, Council now desires to ratify and confirm the authorization and execution of Contract Amendment No. 1; and
WHEREAS, further modifications to the professional services agreement are necessary due to the continued extension of the project schedule and to provide additional Construction Administration and related support services through project completion and closeout; and
WHEREAS, the Administration has determined that it is necessary and in the best interest of the City to enter into Contract Amendment No. 2 with Accenture dba Anser Advisory Management LLC in the amount of Twenty-Two Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars and Sixty-Five Cents ($22,632.65), increasing the total contract amount to an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifteen Thousand Six Hundred Forty-Two Dollars and Sixty-Five Cents ($215,642.65); and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds have already been appropriated and are available within Account No. 32506550.5505 for this purpose, and no supplemental appropriation is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Council hereby ratifies and confirms the Mayor’s authorization and execution of Contract Amendment No. 1 with Accenture dba Anser Advisory Management LLC, located at 400 W. Nationwide Boulevard, Suite 100, Columbus, Ohio 43215, for professional services related to the Price Road Exploration Center Project, in the amount of Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00), substantially in the form attached hereto as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract Amendment No. 2 with Accenture dba Anser Advisory Management LLC in the amount of Twenty-Two Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars and Sixty-Five Cents ($22,632.65), bringing the total amended contract amount to an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifteen Thousand Six Hundred Forty-Two Dollars and Sixty-Five Cents ($215,642.65), substantially in the form attached hereto as EXHIBIT B, subject to final approval by the City Attorney as to form.
Section 3. That funding for Contract Amendment No. 2 has been previously appropriated and shall be paid from Account No. 32506550.5505.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
