TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO EXTENDED CONTRACT WITH STILSON CONSULTING GROUP FOR REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR OF NORTH HIGH STREET STORM SEWERS; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $46,000; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, a bad section of storm sewer was discovered on the High Street Rebuild project, and it must be repaired while the project is open; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to proceed with the repairs before the end of the construction season, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Extended Contract with STILSON CONSULTING GROUP, 7610 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43235, for replacement and repair of the North High Street storm sewer, in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FORTY SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS ($46,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.991.5934, Transfer to Storm Water.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of FORTY SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS ($46,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated form Account No. 101.991.5934, Transfer to Storm Water, to Account No. 230.000.4931, Revenue Storm Water.
Section 4. That funding in the amount of FORTH SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS ($46,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from Account No. 230.000.4932, Revenue Storm Water, to Account No. 230.350.5447, Storm Sewer Miscellaneous, to cover the herein costs.
Section 5. That ORD-0001-2002, passed January 2, 2002, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 6. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and on the date of signature approval by the Mayor.
