TITLE
A RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION 0009-2024 TO REVISE THE 2025 SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE PROGRAM AREA
BODY
WHEREAS, City Council passed Resolution 0009-2024 on April 1, 2024, determining the necessity to repair and/or replace sidewalks in the 2025 Sidewalk Maintenance Program Area and defining the properties that will be part of Gahanna’s Sidewalk Maintenance Program; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Sidewalk Maintenance Program is to maintain sidewalks in a good and orderly state of repair to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public; and
WHEREAS, after performing inspections and conducting additional interdepartmental collaboration, the Department of Engineering recommends revising the 2025 Sidewalk Maintenance Program Area by removing Moorfield Dr (Amfield Ct to Chapelfield Rd) and adding Beaverbrook Dr (Helmbright Dr to Hunters Glen Dr); and
WHEREAS, the revised 2025 Sidewalk Maintenance Program Area includes 81 parcels and includes the following streets:
Deer Run Dr (Clotts Rd to Venetian Way)
Juniper Ln N (Moss Oak Ave to End of Court)
Prince of Wales Dr (Stygler Rd N to Avonwick Pl)
Venetian Ct (Venetian Rd to End of Court)
Woodtown Dr (Aries Dr to Riva Ridge Blvd)
Beaverbrook Dr (Helmbright Dr to Hunters Glen Dr); and
WHEREAS, an inspection program has been completed to identify sidewalk deficiencies within the program area, and property owners with identified sidewalk deficiencies have been notified of the estimated cost of repairs, the option to opt out of the program, and the process for addressing repairs; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Engineering has requested an amendment to Resolution 0009-2024 to revise the 2025 Sidewalk Maintenance Program Area as set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council hereby amends Resolution 0009-2024 to revise the 2025 Sidewalk Maintenance Program Area by removing Moorfield Dr (Amfield Ct to Chapelfield Rd) and adding Beaverbrook Dr (Helmbright Dr to Hunters Glen Dr).
Section 2. The revised 2025 Sidewalk Maintenance Program Area shall include the properties listed and depicted in EXHIBITS A and B, attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
