WHEREAS, the City Engineer has received proposal from GGC Engineers for design work for the Price Road sanitary sewer; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that we proceed with GGC Engineers for the work; and

 

WHEREAS, this project would allow the City to serve the unsewered area of Price Road and also to eliminate the College Park Lift Station; and

 

WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with the design work so that the project can begin as soon as possible, and all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with GGC ENGINEERS, 132 North High Street, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, for design work for the Price Road sanitary sewer; Proposal attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.

 

Section 2.  That funding in the amount of THIRTEEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY DOLLARS ($13,870) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the SSCI Fund to Account No. 662.361.5596, SSCI Capital Projects/Improvements to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That funding in the amount of TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($25,000) was set aside in the 2008 Appropriations to Account No. 662.361.5596, SSCI Capital Projects/Improvements to further cover the herein costs.

 

Section 4.  That ORD-0001-2008, passed January 2, 2008, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 5.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
