White said the ordinance needs to be corrected; $18,000 was set aside in the 2003 |

appropriations. |

White said California Fitness will be moving into the Hunter's Ridge Shopping center; |
|
back part where Hallmark used to be; Hickory House should be opening May 1st in the |
|
old Montana Mining restaurant; Jewelry by Kesser is moving to 94 Granville Street; |
|
old bank building; Kesser is very excited about this move; said he always wanted to |
|
move there; Groundhog Day was a great success; Mustang Engineering has signed a |
|
lease and also Mt. Vernon College; they will move into the space where Groundhog |
|
Day was held. Old Bag of Nails and Millhouse are coming along; people going around |
|
the corner of Mill and looking back at the buildings; very nice; Nails should be opening |
|
in June. |

White said barricades should be coming down this week.
American Planning Association Conference.

White continued that Bonnie Gard and William Murdock attended the APA Conference; |
|
attended mobile workshops to learn about mixed-use development; infill development |
|
practices and connecting greenways to neighborhoods; create new and memorable |
|
suburban retail spaces; strip malls. White said that Gahanna has almost 20 strip malls; |
|
we will be hosting a symposium on shopping centers; two tenants or more constitutes a |
|
strip mall; spruce them up; Casto will be speaker as he has done such a great job with |
|
Town & Country. |
