AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION AND WAIVER OF SECOND READING - General Engineering Services

WHEREAS, recent vacancies in the Engineering Division has coincided with increased activity in capital and private development projects; and

WHEREAS,
additional assistance is needed to review private development engineering plans, planning applications, and technical studies; and

WHEREAS, this will require a supplemental appropriation from the unappropriated and unencumbered balance of the General Fund in the amount of $150,000 for FY2022; and

WHEREAS, administration requests a waiver of second reading due to timing sensitivities related to pending projects and the need for immediate engineering support.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1.
That this Council hereby authorizes a supplemental appropriation in the amount of one hundred fifty thousand dollars and zero cents ($150,000) from the unappropriated and unencumbered balance of the General Fund to account number 101.11.450.5210 Engineering Professional Services.

Section 2. That the second reading is hereby waived.

Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
