AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - 2021 Sidewalk Maintenance Program

WHEREAS, the Council has authorized the Director of Public Service & Engineering permission to bid the 2021 Sidewalk Maintenance Program contract; andWHEREAS, the Council has already appropriated $426,750 for this construction project in the FY2022 Budget; andWHEREAS, the Department of Public Service & Engineering anticipates unforeseeable cost escalations with the project, including increased construction costs due to inflation, creating a need for a supplemental appropriation; andWHEREAS, the supplemental appropriation of $150,000 requested to fund the anticipated costs will come from the unappropriated and unencumbered balance of the Capital Improvement Fund.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:Section 1. That this Council hereby authorizes a supplemental appropriation in the amount of one hundred fifty thousand dollars and zero cents ($150,000) from the unappropriated and unencumbered balance of the Capital Improvement Fund to account number 325.06.550.5505.Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
